Matt Raimondo is an award-winning Australian director drawn to honest stories shaped by people, place, and the natural world.

Guided by a deep love of the outdoors and a genuine curiosity about people and place, Matt’s work is rooted in a simple intent — to tell honest stories that feel real, human, and connected to the world around us.

With a background spanning cinematography, post-production, and design, Matt brings a hands-on, all-round creative approach to every project. That mix of craft and intuition shapes how he builds stories from the ground up, working closely with brands and collaborators to find the most authentic version of each idea.

When he’s not filming, you’ll usually find Matt outside — climbing, exploring, or just spending time in wild places. That connection to the natural world is a constant thread in his work, keeping it grounded, honest, and alive. Based in Queensland, he continues to create films about people, landscapes, and the quiet space between the two.

In just a few words, a beautiful soundtrack and the most glorious footage Matt has perfectly captured why we need to do everything we can for our Great Barrier Reef, which, despite all its suffering is still paradise on Earth. Thank you Matt and your team, for nailing our mission so beautifully in just under two minutes.

You just have to trust that at some point after you finish briefing him, Matt will seize upon a concept, splice apart a moment of a lifetime and then rebuild an idea into a beautiful crafted story supported by epic visuals.
